AMA AWARDS

This past month, the Arizona chapter of the American Marketing Association, held their Annual Spectrum Awards with Spark taking home top honors in two categories. In all, Spark was a finalist in three categories; Print Advertising – LGE Design Build, Multi-Cultural Campaign – Rayovac and New Online Initiative – Lumension.

For Lumension. Spark created an online campaign designed to build awareness within the IT community, educate the IT audience at large on top security risks and generate qualified leads. Spark worked with Lumension to develop the initiative dubbed The Office. The online campaign included a mix of online vehicles that drove traffic to a landing page where visitors played The Office game and registered for a 1GB Encrypted USB stick. The initiative helped elevate the brand, positioned Lumension as a thought leader and drove lead generation. For its innovative approach and unique creative, the AMA awarded Spark and Lumension the best New Online Initiative.

Spark was charged with developing an integrated communications platform for a viral marketing campaign to create Rayovac “brand advocates” in Latin American. The goal was to provide a promotion website for Rayovac’s core target audience (aged 15-24) to continually visit and register to win prizes through product purchase. The Conexion Musica web site included a CRM tool that could be used past the promotion for pricing, future marketing campaigns, cross selling and new product information delivery.

The Conexión Música/ Rayovac Stage was a promotion campaign where amateur musicians and singers could showcase their talent and skills by uploading their music videos to the website and request friends and family to vote. Winners received cash, prizes, and scholarships to assist them with their education, music/singing lessons and tickets to MTV music events. 15 second commercials aired on MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and Nick @ Night in 13 Latin American countries. For its integrated approach and targeted strategy, the AMA awarded Spark and Rayovac the best Multi-Cultural Campaign.
